Store Cleaner

A Store Cleaner plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of retail stores, supermarkets, or any customer-facing commercial spaces. The position involves performing routine cleaning tasks to ensure that the store environment is safe, welcoming, and pleasant for customers, staff, and visitors. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize floors, shelves, counters, and display areas regularly throughout the store.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe walking environment.
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in designated disposal areas following store and environmental policies.
• Clean windows, doors, glass surfaces, and mirrors to ensure they are free of smudges and dirt.
• Dust and wipe down shelves, fixtures, and equipment to maintain a neat appearance.
• Maintain cleanliness in staff rooms, restrooms, and other common areas.
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or hazards observed during cleaning to the store management.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the correct use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning after store events, promotions, or deliveries as required.
• Follow the cleaning schedule and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient completion of duties during working hours.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial roles is an advantage but not mandatory; training can be provided.
• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals safely and according to instructions.
• Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
• Attention to detail to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned.
• Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Working Conditions:
Store Cleaners typically work during store hours or outside regular business hours to avoid disrupting customers. The job may require standing, walking, and performing manual cleaning duties throughout the shift. Protective clothing and cleaning equipment will be provided.
